MYEEP is a paid internship program for 9-10th graders who live in San Francisco.
Applications for 2025-26 school-year internships can be found here and are due on September 5, 2026.
To be eligible, youu must be in 9th or 10th grade and be 14 years old by 10/6/25.
Salary is $19.18/hour with a max of 10 hours a week.
Orientation & work documents take place 9/15/25-10/3/25. Fall training happens first semester, 10/6/25-10/19/25. The internship is in the Spring, 1/5/26-5/3/26.

SF YOUTHWORKS is a paid internship program for 11-12th graders who live in San Francisco and want a career helping their community. SF YouthWorks provides paid job readiness workshops, training, and internships at different SF City Departments such as the Public Utilities Commission, the Public Library, and the SF International Airport.

Applications for 2025-26 school-year internships are currently open and due in mid-September 2026. Pre-employment training will happen between 10/21-10/23/2025. Internships begin 10/27/25 and end 5/3/26.
To be eligible, you must live in San Francisco, be in 11th or 12th grade, and be 15-19 years old by 10/20/25.
The salary is $19.18/hour, between 6-10 hours a week.
Greenager Program is for high school students who live in or attend school in San Francisco’s Tenderloin, southeast, or northeast neighborhoods. This youth leadership and stewardship program, run by the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department in partnership with Port of San Francisco, takes place from February to August. Participants have the opportunity to lead and inspire their community by enhancing the city’s green spaces, developing place-based projects, and enjoying exciting team-building adventures. Applications are typically due in early September. However, as September 2025 the application was not open so it is unknown if the program is happening this year. We will post any updates we find. Opportunities for All (OFA) provides access to career exploration and workforce development including paid summer internships, after school programs and job readiness training. The program is designed to provide marginalized youth, ages 13-24, from all races and ethnicities, valuable workforce experience through an interdisciplinary curriculum and Work-Based Learning in San Francisco. YMCA Aquatics Workforce Development Pathway program is a paid internship that provides leadership opportunities for teens and young adults 16-24 years of age. They gain the technical skills needed to be able to work in the YMCA non-profit environment in the Youth Development, Aquatics, Seniors & healthy living departments. Participants will work on their swimming skills and receive certifications in lifeguarding, CPR and more. Plus you get a free YMCA membership! No lifeguard or aquatics experience is necessary Commitment involves in person meetings twice a week and alternate Saturdays. Youth Partnering for Education and Employment Program (YPEE): This internship program provides paid jobs within San Francisco at places like Parks & Recreation, hair salons, 826 Valencia, and more. City Youth Now offers internships for teens in the juvenile justice or foster care system. It’s a paid internship program that provides first-hand work experience? They have spring, fall and summer cohorts. The internship program provides up to 200 hours of work experience by partnering with local organizations and businesses while also providing professional development and independent life skills workshops.
